QUICK-START instructions

1. Click on GAME DISK to download the program itself and save.

2. Install the Win-Rar archiving software (OPEN FROM CURRENT LOCATION) unless you already have such software. Insert and configure joystick.

3. Right-Click on EMULATOR. From the drop-down menu, choose OPEN IN NEW WINDOW. Then OPEN the file FROM CURRENT LOCATION. From the main window of Win-Rar double-click the X64.EXE program. This starts up the emulator, a program which acts as a software C64 and utilises the popular menu-driven interface.

4. Follow this menu chain to load the game: FILE, AUTOSTART DISK/TAPE IMAGE and then navigate the Windows system to locate the game disk. When found, click once on the title and then click ATTACH. The game will load and run.

5. To control the game we go SETTINGS, JOYSTICK SETTINGS, JOYSTICK IN PORT #2. From the drop-down selector, choose either an installed joystick or the option to use the arrows on the PC keyboard's numberpad and the right-hand Control key (to fire). Click OK.

AND THERE YOU GO! After a little wait (the emulator even mimics the C64's slow disk loading time!) you are blastin'!

EXTRA:

Enlarge the playscreen:       OPTIONS, DOUBLE SIZE.

Speed up the emulated loader: OPTIONS, WARP MODE. (Repeat to slow back down to Real Time)

Better sound:                 SETTINGS, SOUND SETTINGS and set SAMPLE FREQUENCY to 44100 Hz. (Also it may be nice in
                              some cases to toggle between WMM and Direct-X drivers.)
